BATON ROUGE, La. – As the 2026 Regular Legislative Session comes to a close, the Louisiana House Democratic Caucus is proud to reflect on a session defined by fearless leadership, meaningful legislative victories, and an unwavering commitment to everyday Louisianans.
This year's session was marked by debates that reached beyond policy and politics. Time and again, House Democrats stood alongside communities fighting to ensure their voices were heard, their representation protected, and their futures considered. In some of the most consequential discussions of the session, caucus members remained steadfast in the belief that every Louisianan deserves a seat at the table and an equal voice in the decisions that shape our state.
We are proud to have championed measures that help young people build successful futures right here in Louisiana, strengthen support for children and families, promote safer communities, and make our state a place where people can afford to live, work, and thrive.
As we enter the interim, the Louisiana House Democratic Caucus is proud of the progress made, grateful to the advocates and constituents who made their voices heard, and committed to continuing the work ahead.
The fight for a more affordable, more equitable, and more prosperous Louisiana does not end with the adjournment of session. It continues every day in communities across our state. House Democrats remain committed to building a Louisiana where every family can thrive, every child can see a future, and every voice matters.
