Chairman Kyle Green Joins Southern Leaders to Advance a Shared Vision for Fair Representation Across the South

BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana House Democratic Caucus Chairman Kyle Green joined Democratic leaders from across the South this week in Atlanta as part of the ongoing Southern Strategy Blueprint effort, a regional coalition focused on strengthening Democratic infrastructure, protecting voting rights, and advancing policies that expand opportunity throughout the South.

The Atlanta convening builds upon discussions that began in Louisiana earlier this year, where southern Democratic leaders first came together to identify shared challenges and opportunities facing communities across the region. Since then, the coalition has continued to grow, bringing together elected officials committed to ensuring that Southern voices are represented in the decisions that shape their future.

“The South has always been home to people who have had to fight for their freedoms, their liberties, and their right to be heard. From the Civil Rights Movement to today’s ongoing fights for fair representation, southern communities have consistently led the charge for a more just and inclusive democracy.

The work happening through this coalition is rooted in that tradition. When we share strategies, support one another, and organize together, we are stronger.

This moment is bigger than any one state. It’s about building a South where every community is represented fairly, every voter has a voice, and every person has the opportunity to participate fully in our democracy.”
